Canucks are NorthWest division Champs. You should have heard the cheering and honking down Robson Street last night after they won. It was a festive atmosphere. I have tix to game 5, which, if necessary will be Friday April 16th. Went to the beach and chilled Saturday, it was nice as hell. Daylight savings time sucks, stealing an hour of my sleep. Today was sunny too but more windy. Bring on the long weekend!!

Writing for the sake of writing. Things are nice and mellow. The weather couldn't have been nicer this weekend. I saw "The LadyKillers" in theatres, slightly amusing, but not nearly worth the money going to the theatre costs. Moving Wednesday, starting in a new department at work on Monday. Went walking around in the beautiful sun today. Watching some university hockey. Sure, I hate UNB, but they're hockey team never did anything to me. Got some 'Nucks playoff tickets. W000t.

My company, Raymond James, took our department out for a 'night on the town'. We went to Moxies Restaurant by the football stadium. Appetizers were EVERYWHERE-dry ribs, wings, garlic bread, mushrooms, chicago dip, chicken tenders, nachos, you name it. All free. I had a 799 ml Heineken, and, oh, I dont know, 7 screwdrivers or so. Some of the 'boys' watched the hockey game in the bar after. Then a smaller portion of the 'boys' went to an establishment where lovely ladies dance and take their clothes off. Regrettably, Raymond James did not sanction this portion of the evening, nor did they pay for it.

We went to a "Support Berutuzzi / Steve Moore / Critisize the media" Rally today. A good 500-600 people showed up. We marched around for a bit, I got interviewed by some CBC folk, made some noise. We were behind the CBC building, marched around GM Place and then came back. We were originally supposed to watch the game on a big projector but plans fell through. No rioting erupted.

Went to the Vancouver Art Museum today. There was a "Canvas of War" exhibit, which prompted protesters out front. Except it was raining so they didn't really protest as much as they stood under a tarp. There were some nice peices of art, and then there were peices that made me think, how did this person get rich?? Like the picture to the left. I think my cousin Zach drew it. After a week of nice weather, it rained hard all day. See the 'pics' section for more pictures of copywrited paintings.

Dawn and I went looking at apartments by the beach today. We looked at one place with a SICK view, but it was only a little larger than a closet. We were looking at an apartment beside a place called the GayMart, which I thought was funny. It rained all day. Nucks won 4-0.

I went to the US Consulate today. It was creepy as fuck. I was glad to be out of there. It was like being in a depressed African airport or something. All the guards were incredibly tall and lanky. I was escorted to the metal detector and I had to take my belt off. There were tons of people just sitting around in chairs, I'm not sure what they were waiting for. There was a weird vibe in the air. I'll consider myself lucky never to return there.
